The problem

Scientific knowledge changes. Curricula, course materials, and assessments built on top of it often don’t: a program can keep teaching a superseded model years after the science has moved, with no visible link back to what changed or why. Separately, most learning platforms measure completion — a video watched, a module marked done — rather than evidence that a learner can actually do the thing the program set out to teach.

What it is

Weavidence Academy is designed as a governed learning environment: one where curricula, learning activities, assessments, and the evidence learners produce all stay connected to the versioned scientific knowledge they’re built on. The same underlying state can be viewed in more than one way — as a path, a map, a timeline — but every view stays a representation of one governed truth, not a separate source of it. Completion is never presented as proof of competence; the platform is designed to distinguish viewed, practised, and demonstrated evidence explicitly, and AI assistance, where used, stays an optional, bounded layer rather than the center of the experience.

How it works

1. Governed knowledge enters the system

   Scientific content is versioned and connected to its source, so a curriculum built on it can be traced back to exactly what it was built on.

2. Knowledge becomes curriculum

   Competencies and learning outcomes are defined against that versioned knowledge, then organized into programs, offerings, and learner pathways.

3. Learners engage with activities

   Learning activities are designed to produce evidence — not just track that a learner was present.

4. Evidence is distinguished, not flattened

   What a learner has viewed, practised, passed, and demonstrated are kept as separate, explicit signals, never collapsed into one completion checkmark.

5. The knowledge and the program both keep improving

   Assessment results and reviewer input feed back into both the curriculum and, where warranted, the underlying knowledge base itself.

Academy’s foundation work is founder-governed at every stage: naming, technical direction, and interface principles each carry an explicit ratification record before they’re treated as settled. The platform’s own accessible-navigation contract — Today, Path, Map, Evidence — is a constitutional commitment, not a visual preference; any richer visualization sits on top of it as an optional mode, never a replacement.

Provenance and review

The design principle is explicit: every visual treatment of the curriculum — a path, a map, a timeline — must preserve permissions, authority, evidence, lineage, and canonical state. A view is a way of seeing governed knowledge, never a second copy of it.

Current implementation reality

There is no released Academy application today. What exists now is the founder-ratified purpose and architecture, an extensive interface-design exploration awaiting formal ratification, and early infrastructure groundwork. Product features, a first usable version, and any public release are not yet authorized — this page describes direction and principles, not a product you can open.
